Angelina Jolie will be partnering with the Parisian brand, a month after the announcement of her own eponymous brand, Atelier Jolie.
Is there anything Angelina Jolie cannot do? Once again, she proves us that no. Last May, she announced the creation of Atelier Jolie, a collaborative brand focused on highlighting the work of tailors and artisans globally while using lower-impact materials. By collaborating with Chloé, Angelina Jolie sets the path for a more friendly fashion industry. Throughout the making of this collection, they will be working with Fair Trade enterprises, as well as female-led social operations and will be using dead stock as well as lower impact materials.
For the two artists, the collaboration between Atelier Jolie and Chloé seems like a match made in heaven: “It’s an honour for me that Chloé will be the first collaborator for Atelier Jolie, as both have high ideals for the betterment of our species.” says Gabriela Hearst, creative director of the Parisian Brand.
This collaboration will be released shortly before Hearst’s last collection for Chloé, whose departure was announced on Monday. Ever since she joined the brand in 2020, the Uruguay-born designer has pushed sustainability at the forefront of the brand’s practice and made it the first European luxury brand to achieve B-Corp Status (an extremely thorough certification process that evaluates a company’s impact on the environment and people.)

As for Angelina Jolie, the superstar is known for her engagement in social and environmental justice. She has brought attention to multiple global issues such as the refugee crisis, and was formerly an ambassador at the United Nations for 20 years. Through her new brand, Atelier Jolie, the actress aims at highlighting artisans while spotlighting everyone involved in the process. “Very few luxury brands are certified B Corp. It was important to me to work with Chloé, one of the first luxury brands to be a B Corp,” said Jolie in an official statement.
Very little is known about the capsule collection yet, nor about Atelier Jolie. But this collaboration should give us more information on how the latter will operate as a brand in the future. According to the released statement, the collection will include “fluid silhouettes and tactile details” and have an "evening wear focus and a timeless aesthetic inspired by perennial pieces from Jolie’s own well-loved wardrobe.” Known for her subtle and elegant approach to fashion, there is no doubt that the collection will be inspired by Jolie’s own style.
In an effort to make the fashion industry fairer, and in continuity with Jolie’s social and environmental engagement, she has made it public that all of her “earnings from this collaboration will be invested in establishing apprenticeships for tailors and artisans at Atelier Jolie.”
