Get ready for a week filled with shows, presentations, and activations celebrating London's creative culture.

London Fashion Week is shaking things up for its upcoming June edition! Traditionally focused on menswear presentations, this year's event —running from June 7th to 9th— will transform into a multi-day celebration of London's vibrant creative scene. Here's all you need to know.

Previously known as London Fashion Week Men's, the June edition has struggled to find its footing in recent years. The rise of co-ed shows and the shift towards seasonless collections meant a dedicated menswear event became irrelevant, recognising this, the British Fashion Council has opted for a complete revamp. The new concept aims to celebrate London's influence on the fashion industry.

The BFC will take over the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) to curate a program exploring three distinct communities: Black culture with a focus on self-love, South Asian culture highlighting textiles and craftsmanship, and the dynamic world of queer creativity, particularly spotlighting young trans voices. Whilst the full lineup remains under wraps, the BFC promises a dynamic program packed with activations by leading British brands and designers. This exciting mix will include catwalk shows, presentations, and immersive events, offering a multifaceted experience that goes beyond just viewing clothes. Attendees can also expect a series of activations hosted by British brands at the prestigious Groucho Club on June 9th to close off the week.

The June edition will also tie into the year-long celebrations of London Fashion Week's 40th anniversary. A special "40 for 40" installation is planned, showcasing the global and cultural significance of the event throughout its history. British talent will be at the forefront of this new vision. The BFC aims to amplify the depth and breadth of the UK menswear business by highlighting diverse British brands and designers throughout the program. Although menswear remains a key focus, the new format is designed to be more inclusive. We can expect to see presentations and activations from designers who aren't strictly menswear-focused, reflecting the current fashion landscape's fluidity.

This revamped June edition is a bold move by the BFC, as It signifies a shift towards a more holistic celebration of fashion that goes beyond just showcasing clothes. By focusing on cultural exchange, community, and British creativity, the BFC hopes to solidify London's position as a global fashion hub with a unique voice.
