Camille Miceli continues her Italian odyssey.
Emilio Pucci, the Florentine fashion house known for its kaleidoscopic prints and jet-set glamour, took the fashion world by storm with a runway show in Rome on April 4th, 2024. The event marked the continuation of artistic director Camille Miceli's "Italian Odyssey," showcasing her SS24 collection titled "Very Vivara." Set in the salons of the Palazzo Altemps, models glided down the runway in a vibrant array of pieces that seamlessly blended Pucci's glamorous heritage with contemporary sophistication.
Miceli, who has breathed new life into the LVMH-owned brand since taking the helm in 2021, drew inspiration for "Very Vivara" from personal connections and a touch of Roman nostalgia. The collection's centrepiece was the Vivara print, a Pucci signature designed by Emilio Pucci himself in 1965. Inspired by the undulating waves of the Mediterranean, the Vivara motif took centre stage on a range of garments, from flowing dresses to sharp tailoring.

The collection's silhouettes were just as versatile as the prints. Flowing silk dresses draped like scarves offered a touch of urban elegance, whilst asymmetric tops and skirts provided a breezy feel perfect for a beachside getaway. Swimwear pieces were also key in the collection, with adventurous cut-outs, fringes, and embellishments like paillette embroidery and leather accents adding a touch of luxury.
The show was a star-studded event, drawing celebrities like Patricia Arquette, Flo Milli, Gunna, and even the famous Lucien Pages puppy sporting a miniature Pucci scarf! Fashion icons like Christy Turlington, Eva Herzigova, and Mariacarla Boscono took to the runway and Isabella Rossellini closed the runway in the same print she modelled on the cover of Vogue Italia in the 90s showcasing the collection's timeless appeal. The collection offered a glimpse into Miceli's vision for the brand: one that celebrates Pucci's legacy while propelling it forward for a new generation.
